We introduce Ing. Michal Otava, who has progressed from the position of Purchasing Manager at BR Group and, within the new organizational structure, will assume the strategic role of Director of Purchasing and Investments.
The objective of this role is the strategic management of purchasing, investments (CAPEX), and warehouse operations across the BR Group, with a strong focus on long-term cost optimization, efficient use of capital, and support for the group’s continued growth.
This position will serve as a key partner to company management in investment planning, evaluation of investment returns, and the development of purchasing and warehouse processes.
The Director of Purchasing and Investments will be primarily responsible for:
- developing and implementing the group’s purchasing and investment strategy,
- managing and coordinating investment projects, including evaluating their effectiveness,
- building and developing strategic relationships with key suppliers and partners,
- providing methodological leadership to purchasing teams across the group,
- optimizing warehouse operations, tied-up capital, and warehouse KPIs.
The creation of this position reflects the growing complexity of the BR Group, the emphasis on professionalizing purchasing and investment processes, and the need for systematic management of costs, investments, and inventories over the long term.
