Presentation of the Fundraising Collection to Veronika from Conrop and Toníček on Their Difficult Journey
The story of our colleague Veronika and her son Toníček has deeply affected not only our group but also the wider public. Thanks to an incredible wave of solidarity, an amazing CZK 5,156,959 was raised in just 60 days from 8,710 donors through the Donio fundraising platform.
Already in the first days, thanks to sharing across social media and the involvement of our companies, the amount exceeded three million CZK. The result clearly shows how strongly this story brought people together.
In addition, colleagues from BR Group organized an internal fundraising initiative, the proceeds of which were personally handed over to Veronika on April 21.
Veronika had previously lost one of her sons to a serious form of cancer. A similar diagnosis was later confirmed for young Toníček. In addition, her partner left the family, and Veronika was left completely on her own with her daughter and son. Toníček has now begun the next phase of his treatment.
We are keeping our fingers crossed not only for Toníček, but for the whole family. Above all, we wish them one thing – a speedy recovery.
